What you need to know

Airport registration grants airport operators powers and obligations that are similar to the airport authority status. The Ministry of Transport approves airport registration applications and we are required to maintain a register of airports on our website.

Applying for airport registration

There is currently no fee for an airport registration.

You can apply to register from 5 April 2025, when the Civil Aviation Act 2023 comes into effect.  An online application form will be available on this website from that date.
