This week the Ministry published the first of its monthly airline on-time performance reports.
The reports contain arrivals, departures and cancellations for jet services on domestic routes between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown for Air New Zealand and Jetstar.
On time performance is an aviation industry measurement, defined as a flight arriving at its destination within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time.
Using data and evidence to build transparency of system performance is a key part of the Ministry’s stewardship role.
