This week the Ministry of Transport published the first of its monthly airline on-time performance reports.
The reports contain arrivals, departures and cancellations for jet services on domestic routes between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown for Air New Zealand and Jetstar.
On-time performance is an aviation industry measurement, defined as a flight arriving at its destination within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time.
Using data and evidence to build transparency of system performance is a key part of the Ministry's stewardship role.
