Social cost of road crashes
RD068 Social cost of road crashes by severity — 2017 prices (NZD$ billion)

- medical, legal, and vehicle damage costs.
The average social cost is estimated at NZD$4.916 million per fatal crash, NZD$923,000 per reported serious crash, and NZD$104,000 per reported minor crash.
